Therapy for Anxiety & Stress
Feeling anxious and stressed from time to time is normal and unavoidable. But sometimes those feelings can be intense and build up over time which can be overwhelming and start to get in the way of living the life you want for yourself.
It's exhausting and you start to feel depleted, powerless, and stuck.
You’ve noticed that…
You feel on edge and have a hard time relaxing
Your mind is racing
You're often worrying about worst case scenarios
You’re obsessively thinking about someone or something and you can’t seem to turn off your thoughts
You have a hard time falling asleep or sleeping through the night
You're finding it hard to focus or remember certain things
Your mind goes "blank" or you find yourself “spacing out” more often
You feel tension or pain in your shoulders, neck, head, chest, or stomach
You realize that as your worries and fears get worse, you’re passing up opportunities, not pursuing your goals, and avoiding certain situations.
It's starting to impact your relationships and your overall quality of life.

Feel more confident, in control, and able to handle challenges when they arise
Learning new ways to relax and unwind is great for providing relief and it's an important part of anxiety treatment. However, I am also interested in finding longer-term solutions and getting to the root of the problem. This involves a more in depth look at how you think and respond in situations when you feel anxious.
I believe that we've all developed patterns of thinking and responding based on our past experiences, and once you are aware of these patterns and how they developed, then you can work on changing them.
You may have a pattern of withdrawing or avoiding certain people or situations in response to feeling anxious, or maybe you start to micro-manage, or you become irritable and snap at people.
You may have a pattern of thinking about worst case scenarios or obsessively trying to figure things out or predict what will happen next.
These patterns developed for a reason and have probably even been helpful at certain points, but they may also be getting in the way of your success and they may even be adding to your stress.
I can teach ways to help you slow down the process, calm your mind down, and start shifting your responses to help you feel more confident and in control, rather than letting your anxiety control you.
I’ve found that this kind of counseling and therapy is effective and can bring about incredible results: it can provide relief and improve the way you feel, improve your outlook, improve relationships, and in turn, improve the quality of your life.
